Kutnohorite

Wikipedia says: Kutnohorite is a rare calcium manganese carbonate mineral with magnesium and iron, that is a member of the dolomite group. The formula is Ca(Mn2+,Mg,Fe2+)(CO3)2. It was named by Professor Bukowsky in 1901 after the type locality of Kutná Hora, Bohemia, in the Czech Republic. It was originally spelt “kutnahorite” but “kutnohorite” is the current IMA-approved spelling.



Physically Kutnohorite encourages the metabolism of the cells, absorption of nutrients by the cell membranes, energy use in the cells, DNA and RNA formation. It supports the growth, firmness and flexibility of bones, teeth and tissue while preventing sclerosis of tissue and vessels. It regulates of the acid/alkali balance and encourages the elimination of fluid. It encourages the formation of transmitter substances in the sensory system from nerves to organs or muscles. Kutnohorite has a pain-relieving effect and fortifies the body's own defences by activating immunological and detoxifying enzymes. It stimulates growth and the development of the skeleton and sexual organs. It promotes metabolism and lowers blood sugar levels. It is excellent for treating migraines, headaches, intestinal cramps and muscle cramps. It increases blood circulation, makes the walls of the blood vessels tough and elastic, and expands the blood vessels surrounding the heart, thereby improving the functioning of the heart muscle. It stimulates the formation of haemoglobin and red blood cells and increases the oxygen binding capacity. This ensures transportation of oxygen to the cells of the muscles and organs, good energy transfer and physical vitality. It helps in cases of weakness, tiredness and exhaustion.


Psychologically and Mentally Kutnohorite encourages receptivity, discrimination and memory and clears up confusion. It encourages, dynamism, endurance, will power and promotes the urge to research and discover. It calms and relaxes, dampens excitability, irritability, aggression and promotes a peaceful disposition while it makes us more resilient towards stress and is effective against nervousness, fearfulness, hypochondria and schizophrenia. It stabilises the emotions and teaches us self-confidence and self-love. Kutnohorite encourages empathy, sensitivity and generosity. It heals psychological wounds and injuries, reduces strife and feelings of revenge while promoting trust and inner maturity.


Spiritually Kutnohorite regulates and balances the development of the personality. It promotes mental growth, understanding of our own reality and of the reality of our environment. It stimulates a clearing of consciousness and of our relationships. It promotes a positive attitude towards life. It helps us accept and love ourselves for who we are, this gives us the ability to cheer others up and encourage them, solely through the atmosphere we create. Kutnohorite promotes inner calm. It gives alertness and deepens meditations.


Kutnohorite is used in the Chakra Essence for the Heart Chakra.

The Heart Chakra is related to the thymus, located in the chest. It is the site of maturation of the T-cells responsible for fending off disease and may be adversely affected by stress. Key issues involving the Heart Chakra involve complex emotions, compassion, tenderness, unconditional love, equilibrium, rejection and well-being. Directions for use:
  • Add 3 to 7 drops of this Crystal Essence to a glass of water and sip at intervals throughout the day. For best results, use still spring water or distilled water.
  • Place 3 drops directly on the tongue.
  • Place 3 to 7 drops of this Crystal Essence in your bath water.
  • Place 1 to 3 drops of this Crystal Essence directly on the relevant Chakra.
